Good Guys is really a good gal by the name of Marion Hanania, who created the French cruelty-free shoes brand in 2010. The shoes are designed in Paris and made in Portugal (like so many other vegan shoes. What IS it about Portugal?) under fair working conditions, i.e. no sweatshop horrors.

Vegan Shoes for Women

Good Guys doesn’t have an offering of “standard” dress shoes, but there’s an excellent selection of very cute mini-boots that are highly esthetic and elegant, with designs that range from classic faux-leather or suede to more modern and hip canvas or velvety suede (yes, velvety is a real word).

They offer a great selection of sneakers and casual shoes, some in basic designs and colors, and some close to outlandish, but never distasteful.

Both canvas and microfiber shoes look and feel great. They fit the shape of your feet and breath. They don’t make your feet feel like a piece of seitan wrapped in some kind of tough wrapping paper, they’re actually wearable, walkable and pleasurable.

The same is true for the sandals God Guys offer. They have fantastic colors and patterns that make them into something very unique that feels more than “just a sandal”. They are great for warmer days indoors or outdoors, but are also elegant to wear to any occasion. It’s fair to say that some models will gain considerable attention.

Women’s Accessories

You won’t find a lot of accessories at Good Guys, since they focus on footwear almost exclusively. You will, how ever, find a Good Guys shirt. And amazing socks! Actually, they’re just socks, but they’re nice and colorful. Also, they sell soap for cleaning shoes, which is great. Sometimes a good pair is ruined by unavoidable street dirt or food stains (if you’re a messy eater) and with some of this gentle soap and a toothbrush you can easily make them look new again.

Vegan Shoes for Men

While the selection is limited, men’s shoes from Good Guys are a bit different than most brands. They have a different texture, more special colors, which are almost what you’d expect from regular men’s shoes but with a twist. That twist makes them all the more unique. You can find classic dress shoes or casual “for work” shoes and boots in a variety of colors and materials, like the great looking faux-suede Aponi shoes, that come in colors such as beige, burgundy and brandy. Somebody at Good Guys also likes good alcohol.

You can also find great looking boots made from vegan suede  in a variety of colors that would go well with a pair of jeans and look fantastic.

For a more casual and comfortable look the loafers are a great choice, while still retaining the coolness of well designed footwear.

Men’s Accessories

Accessories are currently not Good Guys’ focus, but they do sell a branded T-shirt and socks, as well as a special soap to help to delicately clean shoes.

Good Guys currently offer no shoes for good kids.
